hey guys, i have had these frags for over a month now, they have been glued to the rock and arent really growing much. dont know why, could it be the nitrates?

my params:

Ca: 450
Alk: 2.5 meq/l
Sg: 1.025
ph: 8.2 - 8.5
Temp: 77-80
nitrate: 10
phos: 0

i dose 2 part every day, lights are in my signature. one thing that could also be concerning is i dont have a lot of flow. i run mag 9.5 on my return and one maxijet 1200 in the tank.

any help is appreciated.
thanks,

I would say flow could be a big factor but I would question that you have o phos with nitrates at 10. I would add alot more flow and try to get your nitrates to 0.

well this is food for thought then. Get a test kit and check your levels anything between 1350 and 1400 are a good starting point. Do you have coraline algea? if its not bright pink then this could be a good indication your level is low. It will also help you maintaine your DKH/CALCIUM levels once it in check.

P.S. Magnisium test kit is a part of keeping SPS buy one its worth every penny and the cost around 24 bucks.
