why is half my anemone open and half closed?

I'm beginning to think it is going to split? This is REALLY STARTING TO BOTHER ME!!! It's been a week now. It's a Rose bubble tip that has been extremely healthy for months. Now half of it opens up during the day, while the other half stays all shrunk up and sick looking. I will try to get a pic if it will help, although my digital camera isn't here so it would be a poor quality Treo picture. Any advice? This is driving me crazy.

I'd look for something irritating or preying on the half that stays closed.

IME, a BTA looks badly for only a few hours before and during the split. A week is too long for its appearance to be because it's preparing to split.

There is also a piece of rock the "juts" out a little near that side. maybe it wounded itself on the somewhat sharp edge or my clownfish smashed the two together?

you can see the little edge I'm talking about in the bottom left corner. It hasn't seemed to be a problem for months.

If it really only takes a few hours for the split then I may be in trouble...It's been 7-10 days. I don't see anything visible that could be preying on it. Any other thoughts anyone?

Still didn't see anything last night. My anemone officially only expands on one side. The other side does not anymore.......Can someone help me "troubleshoot" any possible causes or solutions?
