Why is my female clownfish being so submissive?

I have a clownfish who has been alone in the tank for about 6 months. I introduced a smaller one yesterday. The larger one is doing the submissive side, seizure thing pretty much constantly. The smaller one is basically just chillin. Is this weird? I'm sure they're still working it out, but I didn't expect to see that from her.

It might just be expedited bonding. Let's hope it is.

I haven't seen any nipping or fighting; they've been hanging out together since he was released into the tank yesterday. They slept together last night. I just thought the little one would do that, not the big one?

Eventually she will let him know that she's the boss. I would just let them be and not worry about anything right now. Females can do the twitching as well and it's normal.

+1 on both sexes doing the submissive 'dance'. It sounds like she's horned up & ready...;) Sit back & watch this amazing behavior; but separate if there's too much aggression, fin nips or mouth locking. Good luck!
