I just saw the new vortechs at MACNA and the cool waves they were effortlesly producing...hands down, they rock at any price !!!

Man Marc you don't quit on this. Here is my suggestion.. YOU go make a pump, and YOU see how much it costs for planning, production, and distribution. The we can see how much you charge for your pump and then WE can rag on how crappy your product turns out in your own forum.

My opinion is that a powerhead with a lousy propeller is not worth $345.00.

Hmmmm. You know what they say about opinions; they're like #$%holes, everyone has one and they all stink.

Coming from someone that doesn't have or doesn't plan to have one I would suggest that YOUR opinion is irrelevant.

I have 4 of these,"lousy propeller powerheads" as you like to call them. Let's see that's $1,380 not including shipping or the $400 I've spent on the new controllers...BEST INVSETMENT I EVER MADE FOR MY TANK! Not to mention the outstanding customer service provided and Tim's saintly patience.

My opinion also, you ARE a VERY RUDE little man and considering your attitude, that may be why you're a FORMER Public Aquarium Life Support Engineer.

Amazing what you find searching for MACNA pictures.

If you don't like their prices don't buy it. Trying to back them into a corner is uncool. Just show a nonfish person the $100 coral you bought and have them think it's a reasonable price.

I'm closing this.

This is a sponsor paid forum.

As Debi already said, if you don't like the price or the product, fine, don't buy. But the feeling of entitlement to a private company's intellectual property and pricing models is a bit over the top. No vendor is under any obligation to reveal such information to anyone here.
