Why you should use a feeder

There are a lot of hobbyist that contribute to this forum on a daily basis, and there are many threads by those at are quite successful with beautiful aquariums but there are few (if any) that put forth so much attention to the individual creatures they keep--especially those with specific needs like the Pipefish, Dragonets, CBB and more. The proof is in the longevity of many of fish. Your dedication is very admirable and your efforts to educate others on how to properly take care of them is appreciative.

Thanks
Mike

The feeder is definitely a good idea for my mandarin female as she is a bit slow and stupid when comes to feeding, but for the mandarin male and my bluestipes I would not need it as they are going after Mysis well. Especially my bluestipe female is not shy or a problematic eater at all. The moment she sees me she darts to the front of the tank and waits for food. I sometimes think she must see herself as a grouper from the size of shrimp she attacks. She even tackles the large PE Mysis that are too large for most of my percula.
Before I added her a week ago the male was doing fine as well but was much more reclusive. Now he gets bolder and follows her out in the open more often. He also carries already a load of eggs. This is one of those fish that need to be kept in pairs (all should be actually if any possible).

BTW, where do you get the screen for the feeder from?

The screen is a stocking. Cut a hole in your wife's stockings and put duct tape over it so she doesn't notice.
