Wild Onyx Clownfish. Take 3

I have a pair of this color form (my A. percula pair #4). Their coloration seems to be stable as it has not changed much since I got them over a year ago.
The female has grown quite a bit in that year and I hope that they will start spawning soon. I just moved them to the 40B that replaces my 18" cube.

I've noticed with established pairs that feeling safe, feeding 2-3 times per day and 12hr light cycle definitely promotes spawning behavior. I've also noticed that when I was feeding frozen food the clowns laid more eggs vs. pellets only. Good luck with your pair. Hope they spawn for you soon.

I find that when I feed mostly flakes, with only some frozen, they lay better with better babies. Exclusive Mysis is really terrible with very poor hatch rate and deformed babies.

That's similar to what I just started doing. NLS pellets with LRS Fertility Frenzy. But clowns are in QT because they had some white spots.
