Wild Onyx Clownfish. Take 3

I only wish it had a euro bracing all around - rimless is always such a mess or you need dial down your flow.

Yes, the only thing that I miss about my acrylic cube is eurobracing. I have had at least 3 snails fall out of the new tank down on the floor in the last 4-5 days.

Everyone is doing good.

Thanks. I saw another wild onyx a week ago. He was so cute I almost bought it. But went with snowflake clowns instead.

no offence but I would like to see some pics of these wild caught fish in the wild, it seems like where your seeing these fish at has way to many miss bars or deformations to all be wild caught

No offense taken. I live in the market that has an abundance of wild caught true percs and I have seen many markings of them.

Fast forward this video to 2:00 and you will see a mis bar true perc.

And in this video you can see the true perc with a black dorsal fin. His right side doesn't have the white bar going horizontally while the left side does. So just because they are misbars doesn't always mean they are tank raised.

cool video's TYVM.

I guess I will have to reword my statements from now on. lol I always stated I breed clowns that are found in the wild and don't work with designers, but I am seeing that is also in the wild. I will still stick to aka the standard marking wild clowns though lol

Glad you liked the videos.

Some habits just never die. I put a clay pot in the tank yesterday and the clowns are back in it this morning. They go between the anemone and the pot.

I broke up the Onyx-Picasso pair because I had observed them locking their mouths in fights. The wild Onyx has been paired up with a tank raised Onyx clownfish. I hope they get along.

I reunited the old pair. They both stopped eating after separation. However both started eating within 5 mins of being reunited. I don't know what to make out of that experience.
