Wild Onyx Clownfish. Take 3

Tonight is the hatch night. Rotifer culture is going strong. Here's a video of one of the containers with them.

There are so many clown babies and only 1/3 of them hatched. I'm going to wait another hour and see what happens. I think I got plenty and don't need to wait another day for all to hatch.
I might start a separate thread in the breeding section

Here's a video of the babies:

I am seriously considering pulling out the flowerpot with eggs from Pair 1 and placing it in the tank with Pair 2. I've seen it done on youtube with maroon clowns to encourage spawning. I don't plan on raising this clutch anyway. We'll see though.
PS
Here's what a 10 day old baby clown from Pair 1 looks like :0)

I put clownfish eggs from tank with Pair 1 to tank with Pair 2. Pair 2 ate the eggs immediately. It was mostly the female who ate them. It appeared that the male made a few attempts to aerate the eggs. By the way, prior to moving the eggs I did a 50% water change in tank 2 with water from tank 1 so the eggs wouldn't be completely shocked.

The female from pair #2 has gotten darker and larger. She's absolutely gorgeous. Their QT tank is a little dirty from heavy feeding but I do regular 20% water changes every 5 days. Time to start looking for a new tank for them. The clowns don't have ich. The white speckles are on the glass.

Nice pick up. When you ordered it, did you specifically ask for a gig? I hear it's common to only mark these nems as Stichodactyla sp. then it's a crap-shoot as to what you get. Was it ordered from a LFS or shipped to you?

They shipped it to LFS. Prior to ordering it I looked at QM catalog/price list. The catalog showed a picture of a gig without a full scientific name. Based on that I made the decision to order it through LFS that let me take a look at the current catalog and picture. I was confident QM was going to send out a gig because they also had pictures of Haddoni anemones under different items. It looked like a safe bet.

0 interest in the new gig so far. Reminds me of my other true percs that took a week or so to move from a BTA to a mag.
As you can see the gig moved up from the sandbed onto a rock.
