3-5 day collection a year in mexican waters. wild caught are still 2-3k, if you want to see expensive angels, genicanthus personatus, or a peppermint angel or conspic will be alot more
Also tbh if this is only found in mexico what makes you think they actually enforce these fishing bans.. That country is a 3rd world country ive been there many times and its deff a lawless country to be honest.
No one in tjat country cares about laws... Thats why so many come here and break them as well..
Just saying
Well obviously the ban must be pretty well enforced or you'd see them for sale all over the place.
who says they arent lol just because you dont see it online doesnt mean it isnt
i run a fish store, trust me they arent.
I bought it already, didn't QT has velvet/ich
no fish is worth over 7 grand i dont care how rare or the circumstances behind it.

I guess a $20,000 Peppermint is out of the question then?
Lol in Aussie dollars that's getting closer to 25k .. so id rather opt for a new ute unless of course this fish can breathe air/poops diamonds and I can walk it daily with a fishy bag I'm out !!I guess a $20,000 Peppermint is out of the question then?
If only he got away with it .. what a pay day it would've been.Anybody that is thinking about sneaking fish into the us may want to read and remember this

He actually got off pretty cheap like $2,000 fine and a year supervised out of prison watch? The individual was a nice guy and participated here on RC quite often with information, he just made a bad mistake.
That still doesnt mean anything lol. There are black markets for everything.
Rhino abd elephants horns are illegal yet still poached even though laws are enforced.. That doesnt stop people from killing them.
Whale hunting is banned yet that doesnt stop the Japanese from killing fir research.
Long clawed turtles were banned in Virginia yet a local pet store years ago used to sell them still.. Puppy mills are banned yet local pet stores still conduct illegal activity..
You wont stop it trust me
