Will Cyphastrea Polyps Ever Open?

Bought a Cyphastrea, so called Meteor Shower, bout a week ago and have yet to see the polyps open. Feeding it Cyclopeeze and Goniopower. The guy at LFS said they're easy to keep. It's not receding and still has great color. Just wondering if I am doing something wrong.
Your response is greatly appreciated. Thanx!

This is about as open as it gets (ime). don't really need to feed it.

spreads quickly if the water conditions are to its liking.

Polyps do extend quite a bit when happy. Beware though, this coral really likes to encrust and expand. It does not act friendly to neighbors

its always water stability and parameters in a stable range. (Alk, mag, ca not fluctuating significantly; and nitrates and phosphates in a healthy zone)

I had a Tyree Blood Red Cyphastrea in my 180 and 100 Gallon Tanks that never opened up its polyps. Still grew like crazy.
