will it live or not

I've started a rather interesting experiment with a sick RTBA. About 2 months ago I got a nasty gold colored bubble algee bloom that drove this healthy at the time RTBA from it's spot to the bottom of the tank. It's been like this for 2 months now. I had expected it to die but it has not. It really hasn't changed much over the course of the last 2 months, so 3 days ago I began feeding it raw table shrimp. It has been eating it, and now is actually looking a little better. Has anyone had luck saving one that looks so bad? If so what did you do? What did you feed it?

Sorry, heres the pic.

That looks similar to one I took from a friends tank crash. It was a green BTA, and he told me to chuck it while we were "cleaning" the crash up. I said " Eh, I'll throw it in one of my tanks and see what happens." It didn't have ANY tentacles left. It was a golf ball size blob, looked dead. It took a couple months for it to even resemble an anemone. Your's looks like it atleast has tentacles. Today it's double the size and has little bubbles on new tentacles. Your's looks saveable. Here's mine 6 months later (after no tentacles, half the size), I have no before pics...Sorry...but, here it is, 5 minutes ago. Flourecent green. We'll see how long it stays this cool color...

I had something similar to my RBTA, to where it lost all of its tentacles, and shrunk down to a small size. I began feeding it often, and within several months it resembled a normal anemone. Just make sure you keep your water parameters in good condition and it can definately pull through.

My other 2 RTBAs are quite happy so I think water quality is good. I've just started keeping anemones and love them. They are so interesting. I have clowns with both of these. I'll try to keep this updated as sick one progresses.
