Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to reef tanks (less than a year). I have a 60 gallon cube with a 15 gallon sump/fuge. I had a small green hair algae outbreak but got it under control pretty quickly. I thought I had another patch of GHA starting but after closer inspection, it's definitely byprosis. The byprosis has been spreading fast and of course manual removal just seems to make it grow even faster.
I read about increasing magnesium by using Kent Tech M and that seems like a great solution. However, I'm afraid that the Tech M may also kill the chaeto in my fuge. Should I be worried about that? Anything else I should be aware of before starting treatment?
Thanks in advance!
