Wish me luck

Pretty little fish! What happened to her top fin? It looks like something took a bite out of her.

Wow Mark. Those Jocs must have piranha in their blood. As suggestion, when having issues with aggression when introducing a new fish; I put the new adddition in a large breeder trap to allow the others to get used to the new guy in town. Hopefully that dorsal heals properly for you. T

Thanks Tim. That is exactly what I do as well. In fact, that picture was taken yesterday in the breeder box a couple hours before its release. As for the dorsal, somehow it was nicked up in QT and it has actaully got a bit better.

Sorry to hear that the little guy got bullied Mark. Are you going to give it another shot? If you're looking for someone to buy him, let me know.

I'm not sure what I am going to do Mark. The jocs have now killed a regal, a small maculiceps, a naoko, and a Paracheilinus. They even chase around my mystery, borbonius and chromis'. I guess my fish list is set unless I want to get some larger fish.

I cannot believe how territorial those jocs are. I guess they are set in their ways. The only way offset that balance is a larger fish.

Unfortunately, Centropyge angels are real PIA's. All of them that I have had are not very accepting of other fish.

My singapore angel killed my pair of potters and they had been together for 6-8 months.

My 2.5" centropyge tries to chest bump the 5.5" clarion which is very interesting...

Thanks Chris and I agree. The jocs were fine for a day until the lights came on after a 24 hour blackout. Within a minute of the lights coming on, the regal was attacked :( I was going to wait 24 hours, but it did not even work out that long.

Unfortunately, I think I am done with adding new fish for awhile. I have lost the last 3 fish I have attempted. This one was a little hard to explain to my daughter Emma as she had help me feed it in QT for weeks :(

Yikes
That stinks mark. Your jocs are so different than mine, whenever I add another fish they do not look at them twice. Now my tiny fisheri is a beast I had to remove her:(

Sorry about it not working out..Maybe if you added a larger Regal the Jocs would leave it alone?

It doesnt matter the size. As I said previously, my 2.5" centropyge is a terror. The only reason my other fish are ok is that they are 2-4 times its size and have been in the tank for between 2-5 years.

Wow, really? My centropyge is one of the nicer members of the tank.

All fish are different. Some are accepting of other and some flat out do not like the company of other fish.

For example, my niger trigger has been in my tank for 4 years and is more docile than any other fish I have ever owned (my black clowns bite me more than he has). On the other hand, I tried to add a blueline trigger a couple of years back and the niger went nuts...it was like some reaction went off in him and he turned into the tazmanian devil. If I didnt pull the blueline, the niger would have killed it for sure.

Out of the blue, she came swimming out behind an acro colony. When looking for her last night for over 30 minutes and after feeding the tank twice, I could not find her; but I did see a left over fish carcas.
I just counted my Apogons and I am one short. Sorry to see a blue eye down, but

The fins are still a bit tattered, but I'm so happy to see her :p

Woo Hoo! Good luck with her. Hopefully the jocs got bored of harassing her. Are they still bullying?

great news! good luck! can you put the jocs in jail for a week or two, then reintroduce after moving some rocks around? it worked for me when I was adding a blue spotted angel and a blue face to a tank with an established, larger emperor. after almost a year, peace still reigns. :)
