Won Hoods

I've been looking at the48" Won 2x250HQI with T5's but I can't find much information on the ballast.Can anyone tell me if its a quality ballast.I don't want to be stuck with a limited choice of bulbs.Also,if or when the ballast quits working is there any problem with installing a PFO or Icecap ballast in the hood?

Hi,

The ballast is a standard hqi ballast with internal cooling fan. It seems very good quality. It will run any hqi DE bulb in that wattage. So you can change to another brand bulbs down the road. If in the future the ballast failed, you could rewire easily for another brand ballast like PFO or icecap because the Won ballast is remote from the hood.
