I've wanted a clam for a long time and I finally got one! Paid a bit more than I wanted but it's the only place withing 150miles that gets them in.
It's a 4" squamosa with pretty good coloring. Bright neon blue fringe with the normal inside colors. He seems to be likeing my tank pretty well as he opened up after only sitting in the tank for about 10 mins. Been about an hour and he's fully open with no signs of gaping or pinching.
One thing I was concerned about. At the store he was sitting on eggcrate and had ancored himself. The guy was gentle getting him off but it took a while and I was worried that he might have ripped his foot. If so, is it something that it will repair?
I will be getting in some DT's live phytoplankton in a few days and will start feeding him then. It's not really a baby, but still small, should I feed 2-3 times a week or more??
