Wooo Hooo.. My Kole Tang has friends!!

After 3 weeks of being along my kole tang now has 2 more friends..

Picked up a orange shoulder tang and lavander tang tonight! After acclimating them, the kole and the orange shoulder are side by side in a cave and the lavander is just in front of them both.

kole is about 4", lavander 5"ish and the orange shoulder is a strong 6"

Hopefully in the a.m. they all will still be friends!! :beer:

Atm all 3 are around the same cave, probably gonna have to wait and see once they get fully acclimated to the tank and their new surronding. I put the 2 new tangs in the tanks will all the tank lights out, and the basement lights out.

No one is really going after each other, might be due to the orange being bigger then the lavander and the lavander bigger then the kole?? so far so good, probably tommorrow will tell if it holds.

Well.. from the reading I have been doing, all 3 are peacefull tangs. Currently the lavander and orange shoulder are swimming together.

This is will give me an excuse to upgrade 220gal+

Watch for aggression. Did all three go into your dt without quarantine? If so, that is very risky. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes.

Go for the 220g. Those orange shoulders get BIG and that's a lot of tangs for a 120. The best scenario is to keep multiple tangs in a very large tank.

I have a Lavender and he sometimes will chase off my Tomani but in general he is pretty good.

Well.. after 2 days all three are swiming around with no signs of aggression, no one fights over food. the lavender and kole swim around together. here are a few pics:
