ok here it goes by marking my 1000th post i am starting a long overdue build thread for my 260gal 84X24X30
it has been a long time coming and not even close to being done. i'm trying to go as high end as i possibly can within my budget so i'm going in stages.
i started by buying my 260 from craigslist for a killer price and got some goodies that came with the deal. i got my stand built with cherry wood by CRE in park ridge but still need some doors. i have 2 MP40w's making a nice 1" wave. i have a temp sump and skimmer awaiting my custom lifereef sump/fuge/frag tank due sometime in the 1st 2 weeks of may. my alpha cone 250 bought from premium aquatics is still in the box awaiting the new sump.
i also have temporary lighting 250w 10k xm / 400w 20k radium / 250w 10k xm getting ready to build a diy led / T5 custom light fixture. ok here are some pics =)

my tank sat like this for 4 months while i had a new baby girl, my birthday,thanksgiving, x-mas, new years, trip to cancun plus much more.
but it was finally time to get it going. Almost 200lb's marco rock. what do you guys think about my aqua scape?
on feb 1st i finally took the plunge
i wonder if i should of rinsed my Bahama sand?
