Workhorse 5 ballast in an Orbit Fixture?

Will this work as a replacement ballast for an Orbit fixture (4 x 96w). I have to replace 2 before I can sell it.
Thanks, Bill

I have a Workhorse 7 in my 4 x 65W Orbit. It runs 2 of the 4 bulbs. I don't think a 5 will have enough bum to push 96W. Look at the 7. They are alot bigger than the stock ballast but can be made to fit.

On my fixture there is a ballast for each light. I was thinking of buying 2. Did you wire it yourself? If so, how easy is it to do?
Thanks, Bill

I didn't wire it myself but watched a friend do it. He made it look easy and I think I could do it next time after watching him.

In mine, One ballast controls 2 65W bulbs. Another for the other 2. So the WH7 is running my daylights with the Orbit Ballast running the Actinics.

If you know anything about electrical wiring you can do this yourself. THere is a diagram on the WH7 ballast. I am just a dummy when it comes to wiring which is why I asked for help on mine.

If you were local I could set you up with the same guy. Would not be worth the shipping costs though to get it done. I think you can handle the wiring.

I think the WH5 can run up to 128 watts or something like that... it will do 2 65w bulbs barely underpowered. I use it to fire 1 96 watt.

the wiring is extremely simple and I hardly ever did anything electrical before. Here are the links to the wiring diagrams.

The #11 diagram is for WH 5 or WH 7, they wire exactly the same. Good luck!
