Worm's 180 build

Liveaquaria has some good ones. You just need to check it compared to what else you have in your tank.

I was looking at your apex and it said your conductivity was 37.3. Have you fixed that?

I need to sync my probe. If you look at it you will see s sudden jump. I moved the probe location in the tank and I think it has an air bubble in it (or two).

OK So I got my ATS in today.

Here are a few unboxing shots:

Cool vids!

Thanks!! I enjoy making them as much as they enjoy setting in front of me while I take it.. HAHAHAHA...

Once I get my ATS running I will take a few videos of that too. I think I will set it up tomorrow, once I get off work.

OK so I finished putting in the baffles for the sump replacement. All siliconed up. Yeah, I know, but it is a sump, so I am not worried about the extra silicone. hahaha

Algae Turf Scrubber.

It takes water in and flows it over hard plastic screen that has been roughed up. This provides turbulance to the water.

The red light has a major growth effect on GHA (green hair algae) and causes it to bloom. This growth caused the GHA (in an aquamanicured form) to take the nutrients from the main tank causing the GHA to grow. In turn the DT GHA has a lower growth/uptake and starves out.

Other versions would have been an algae troth/sluse. I have seen quite a few videos on this version and wanted to give it a try.

very very cool. look forward to seeing how it works out for you. It it run via a manifold or pump driven?

I set mine up to run via a pump. I could have just as easy used the return or any other source.

A few people asked about the video camera I use. Well I just came across a good deal on a samsung HMX-F80BN

It is on that woot site. The time lapse is good on it to. It is a 720p camera, I got a 1080 camera. Granted it is a lower resolution, it will still function nice for those that want the timelapse/small form factor video camera.

Just my opinion to answer a few questions that were asked earlier.

I really like that anemone of yours! Are they hard to find?

Not really. The bigger part is to find a healthy one.

Live aquaria has a notification service that will e-mail you when one is available.

You have to be quick on those because the first to claim it will get it.

I feed my ritteri only because I want him to get bigger... I feed scallops, flounder, salmon, shrimp, NEVER SILVERSIDES.

If you ask some others they will say it is big enough... I set up a webcam I am testing it out. Wayne/Leroy (Newbie Aquarist) saw how big it was last night. IDK.. I'd say over 18" but it is hard to say.

I just ordered a new webcam that will be here tomorrow.

I am using a Foscam right now. I do not like the quality. Plus it is only PT (NO Z). I want a PTZ.
