Apex with 5x energy8 bars. Numerous probes and breakout box.
5 energy bars! Zoinks, that's a bit OCD don't you think ......
...... uh, never mind, just went and counted - got 5 too

Apex with 5x energy8 bars. Numerous probes and breakout box.
So basically I need to make a "ghost overflow" type setup for my overflow ??
Just posted pics of one I built a while back. External box is deeper than the Reef Savvy version which IMO is better. Bulkheads are not submerged enough in a shallow box. Ok if you don't push a ton of flow, but any turbulence and it's bubble city.

Floyd R Turbo - Did you use a jig to cut the teeth and if so please pm me. I am thinking of building one also.
Oh Larry...I guess I will tag along on here...subscribed.
I look forward to seeing the larger tank build. I am just starting my first build and I have to say I love the camera.

Sorry for being late to the party. Can't wait for this build to happen. Been dreaming about it since we originally talked about it when we met. I will definitely be along for the ride.I think my drains will have spinning blades in them.

You're putting spinners on the drain?
Bass-O-Matic?
That was what they guy wanted. Some people want teeth, others don't.
I built a jig by hand out of 3/8" acrylic that I double-stick-tape down and then use a flush trim spiral upcut bit to make about 18-24" worth of teeth in one shot. The jig took about 3 hours or so to make but I've used it dozens of times since![]()
