worried on an acro

hey guys just wondering if this is normal the holes on my acro if there just polyp buds or bite marks. all other acros are doing great and this one is acryally starting to get some color back tank parameters are mg 1350 ca 440 alk 9 nitrates zero ammonia 0 nitrite 0 ph 8.2 ive had the coral for about a month and a half now.

my friend that I got it from was having parasite problems now that I just found out about after I got the coral so Im wondering if it could be recovering from that as well everything I get is dipped in bayer.

Some of those spots are definitely new polyps coming in. Can't really tell, but some of them could be marks from aefws. I think it is on the mend. Keep an eye and dip if anything looks off, and check for eggs.

They are NOT AEFW bites. If looking for AEFW, take a pic of the underside. They look like polyp buds, but hard to be sure. Dip it if you want to be thorough and just leave it be. I agree it looks weird, but its probably nothing.

I think they're new polyps.. But I'll dip it in bayer just to be sure!

thank you guys I know the picture is not the best converted for online viewing. but when I zoom in I do see polyps been taking diffrent pictures to make sure at all diffrent angles. I will post more pics soon of progress down the line thanks again.

The coral does not look exactly eaten to me but does not show the PE that I personally would like to see but that may be because you moved it and it got scared. The real question is - Is it growing, have good color, and have PE? In my humble opinion, the first thing that goes when an acro is unhappy is PE and then color. Most of the time adding more or less flow or more or less light will make a ton of difference. Sorry if I am simply going back to the basics here. Yes, dip everything.

well I took the picture originally with the intention of moving it up more now it is a month old in my tank and was completly brown when I first got it. its now showing tints of blue/purple which im really excited about
