would this work out for plumbing?

The tank is going to be 70 gallons, return pump is gonna be about 1000gph with a ocean motions 4 way squirt. i was going to have the overflow split and one goes into the protein skimmer and return section (20 gallon tank) and the other half will go into a refugium (10 gallon tank) with a drilled overflow a little bit beneath the water level, which then flows into the return in the 20 gallon return tank. do you think this would be po0ssible. the drak blue arrows show the flow of water (or expected flow)
thanks

looks like it should work, it wont change the water exchange rate. the same amount of water is still being pumped into the main tank.... same amount will be returned to the sump.... i dont see a problem with it.

yea i was just worried about the T from the overflow but your right, either way there will still be the same amount of water. thanks

i have my overflow line T'd off and it works fine. i would put a ball valve or something like that on the one that goes to your skimmer so you can control how much goes to each place
