I dont know the store or the guys who run it... good or bad.
But how can you be upset at them? The item had a price on it and you agreed to buy it. It's as simple as that. Did they force you to buy it? Was it marked $129 and they jacked the price up at the register? no, and no...
I know you took credit for being at fault and not doing your research, but you can't be mad at them for your "stupidity" and then expect them to pay the difference.

I have been in it only for a few years but I have been relentless in trying to quench my thirst for knowledge in this hobby. It seems like your tank is well on its way with the info on the post. Keep us posted.
Oh btw Creative Oceans no longer exist!! It was bought and the new name is Finz of Tampa!! They are going to do whatever it takes to separate themselves from Creative Oceans.

Competitive? Many of the fish and corals the store carries, can't be found in any other store.
Tang, your rhetoric bores me. You are negative to every local store except one. Do you also eat at only one restaurant? Are you planning to come to the meeting this Saturday and support your local reef club?
To clear up all the rumors. No, I did not purchase Creative Oceans. Chris Pirhalla and Chris Meckley did and it is renamed FINZ of Tampa. They are two of the warmest, sincere and passionate gentlemen I have ever met on a personal and professional level. Every day I go in to work I have a blast and leave smiling.

I may be able to make it to the meeting. I may be going over that way this weekend anyway to pick up some Tunze stuff that I ordered from the LFS (FAOIS).... Its been hard getting over that way the last couple of weeks with work and all.

Seeing how you edited your post and added some instegating remarks, I'll reply to your second post, lol....
I go to a couple of different LFS's in that area... Just an FYI, I don't think I've ever said anything negative about Marine Warehouse... I stop by there everytime I go to FAOIS..... I've also stopped by Coral reef Aquarium a a few times as well... Never said anything bad about them either... But everytime I've ever been in Creative Oceans, I've never seen anything that caught my eye are "RARE", or worth the high prices I saw.... And speaking with the staff, I clearly got the impression that they would say anyhting to make a sell...... So in my eyes, to dis-acosiate Finz from Creative Oceans, a few major things would have to change..... FME, I can get anything I want at my normal LFS, at a descent price, and not some rediculous markup attached.....
...... But I guess if I ran a LFS, and the store was featured on national television, I'd probably milk it for all I could as well.....

Oh, and I never said you were the Chris that purchased the store, all I asked was which Chris... Because the Chris I know was blathering around town about how he was buying the store, and that all John ever does is badmouth them because he is scared they are taking his customers.... I don't know any of John's customers that are going there now, and I don't expect to see any anytime soon, and I've never heard John say anything bad about any other LFS in the area, especially creative Oceans... I have, however heard this particualr chris talk smack about John's store to me, and plenty of other people as well..... If that is the kind of professionalism you are talking about, then no, I don't want any part of it....... Reef on dude

OH thats soo funny. Glad I'm not the only one he does that to.. Yeah he tried to sell me a KILLER (well it was almost dead) coral one time. I just looked at him like he's crazy.

Tell, you what Tang, I'm going to do my best to make it to the meeting tomorrow. If you aren't to busy maybe you can stop in. Afterwards we can go to FINZ of Tampa and I will be more than happy to point out a few of the things you may have overlooked. If you can't just stop in and talk to Pirhalla, Meckley or myself, if you identify yourself I'm sure they can help you. You have to have a good eye to recongize them (rare livestock and corals), it kinda like art. 
As for the "blathering", I don't want to get into the he said she said. I get enough of that from the 4th graders I teach. But I can assure you it hasn't been one sided.

FAOIS is the only place I buy. Ive been in CO aka Finz many times on my way to the airport because i travel a bit and. like zukihara, when ive gone in there noone has ever said boo to me and I havent been overly impressed with livestock and things are pricey. saw a scotts wrasse in there for 199.00 a few months back. I can get 3 for that price.
I want John to open another store in Brandon. Cmon John!

My dislike for Mr.Pirhalla has nothing to do with him being the "competition".
