Hello everyone. I have had it for two days. HE isnt very big to begin with and hasnt even been in one spot for more than 12 hrs. This morning I got up and checked on him and he was kind of close to my korillia.I got home aftewr the beach and found a split on the ground. He almost looks like he can split again!
The baby doesnt look like it has a mouth but it is all bubbled up.Both are out
of the best light zone so what should I do.I was not expecting this at all Please help. I dont think he got tangled up in the power head, nothing looks to mangled.Should I turn the power head off and move the baby toward the light or what.

PS I was going to do a water change today.Im just letting the water age a little.Should I hold off?

Should I turn that power head off?

Turn off that powerhead NOW.

It could very well be a stress split.

How long has the tank been set up?
What are your current water parameters -- with numbers
What lights do you have?
What all do you have in the tank, fish wise.

Tanks been up for a little over two monthes. I have a clown and fire fish.
A Bunch of corals lps softies. CUC and 6 bulb t5 with 3 10k white and 3 blue My light is 36" and my tank is 6' all my corals are in the center and I have additional lighting on the sides. The BTA is hanging on the side glass
It will take me a few for the test but last week they were good exept nitrates were like 15ppm. SG .0125 FYI I bought someones 90 gal system rocks, lights, fish, coral and all.
Power head is off now but I dont think it was involved.New baby has a foot on the glass and it deffinitly looks like its ready to split again.
I agree this is probably a survival split. And I already heard the my tanks to young speech but im looking for usfull info to help these guys survive.

Your SG is .0125??!! I hope that is a typo. Should be at 1.026.

Sorry you don't want to hear the "speech", but if you already knew it was not advised to purchase the anemone, why did you?

Really need to have all the numbers for your water parameters. Also, are you using RO/DI water? If so, what is the TDS of it.

I heard the speech yesterday on here. I was assured at the lfs that my tank was ready and all the corals I have are flourishing . SG 1.025 I am useing R.O. no di and my reading was 9 I think.I had it tested a while ago. Im not pointing fingers at anyone but myself for getting this anemone. With the amount of life I see in this tank every day I didnt think there is a problem. My LFS is very knowledgeable compared to alot of others ive been to.
I will get numbers soon. I have put my water change off till tomarrow a.m
Thanks for all the help

All right im useinf instant ocean reef master kit. Looks like I may need some buffers, hopefully my water change will replace some of my numbers.
P.H 8.2
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Alk 200
Cal 300
I shut off the other closest power head so now all the circulation is my return and power head on the far side. So far there hasnt been any more splitting and every one is bubbled out so,we will see tomarrow.

Been reading different threads all the time. Like most people said, local fish stores just want to make a profit. Of course they will tell you to buy their product.

yep. and you say your corals are flourishing, your corals are some of the easiest ones to keep, so i don't know why you would go by that. Your light is insufficient, your water clarity looks sub-par, and to boot, your tank is only 2 months old. Whoever convinced you to do this must be one great salesman.

Weather my corals are the easiest or not they are doing great. I would think a 6 bulb t5ho would be efficient. With 10k's am I missing some thing? The bulbs are 3 monthes old.
My water clarity seems pretty good the pick above, the fire fish is more than 5' away taken with a cell phone.
CurlyKid,,thanks for stating the obvious. How about posting something usefull not usless.
What wrong with my lighting? I know the obvious (3' light 6' tank) but thats what I got and way my corals are in the center.
Thanks for the respones on the anemone on the top of the glass(usefull info)That makes sense because he isnt in the best light zone.

Your right,Thanks.
Im just going to wait it out, keep on reading and check my numbers. Thanks for everyones help.I will update in a couple weeks.
