from the little reading that is a very rare butterfly that swims quite deep. The difficulty to catch drives the price up.

I love fish, just not in my budget! now a CBB...one the tank is ready for one!

Heh... I'll pass. :fun4: Even if coral cats weren't notorius for being more likely to bite at the fish, my shark is going to be more like $130. Just have to wait for the timing to work out. :thumbsup:
 
If the butterfly and anthias truely are the only ones in the country, the prices are probably justified. People that want these fish dont care about the looks, only the rarity

I do like the anthias, but I agree that rarity instead of just being a cool fish is why it's so much. Seems stupid to buy something just cause it's rare, when you are capable of finding something pretty close to the same thing for a fraction or the cost.
 
Those fish were posted in the selling forum on rc as well, I checked it out the other day. Def wouldnt pay that just for a rare fish!
