For people who are knocking on the jebao and padding themselves on the back for not purchasing, lay off. If you don't have anything to contribute to help fix the problem, restrain from telling us why your such a genius for not purchasing...
This kind of reminded me of how a Lexus owner bragged after my crappy nissan broke down in front of his house. Telling me why he stayed away from purchasing crappy stuff :/
Well I guess this is a open forum, if that makes you feel better, disreguard my post...
Everyone who bought these jebaos knew what they are getting into when they ordered them
+100.
Didn't your Momma teach you proper manners.
If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.
I've had my WP40 running for 4 months and have not had any major problems with it.
I had it running on an LED dimmer at 50% power and it was fine.
I had it running on a PWM voltage regulator and it ran fine.
I currently have it running at 20% power controlled by a Reef Angel controller and it is fine.
The only problem I did have was when I first got it the power cord to the power supply did not work, but Fish Street said this was a known issue at the time and told me to use an old power cord from a desktop PC. it worked and they refunded me $5 for the power cord.
I was one of the first people in the USA to get a WP25 and it ran just as well as the 40. I'm not using it right now because I like the wider flow of the 40 better, but that is a personal issue, not an issue wit the pump or the manufacturing of it.
I've run the WP-40 on the PS from the 25 and visa versa. I've tested this thing pretty extensively and have deal with Jebao first hand to get the speed control added to the new controller.
For those that are having a problem with the pumps I feel bad for you.
Do not expect to get an support from the manufacturer (Jebao) the Chinese business model is much different then the American in China the retailer/reseller or distributor deals with any and all warranty issues.
If you bought your pump from Fish Street or any other actual store/business and are having problems contact the company you purchased it from.
If you bought it from a group buy then hopefully the organizer of the group buy has made arrangements with Jebao to warrant the pumps. I know that any of the pumps purchased through the Arizona GB are being taken care of by MacBoat. As for any of the other GB's or purchasing them from EBay or somewhere else that was the risk you took, good luck to you.
