WP40 - Maybe I was wrong !

I was checking out a EcoExotic pico tank a few days ago and noticed the pre-packaged filter was manufactured by Jebao. Found it interesting!

I have 2 wp25s on my 90g for a month now. Quiet and powerful. Had to knock them back to 50% because they were moving to much water.

Been running a wp40 for a couple months now and the only complaint is noise. My bedroom is directly above the tank room and I hear it every direction change on wave 1. It is otherwise an awesome investment so far, my tanj has never been happier with all the extra movement.

They have a fix for the older ones with sound issue. Its a replacement rubber thing that supports front of shaft. I think the new one is more of a silicone like material. However if you were impatient like me and ordered it from ebay fishstreet wont sell you one. Gonna make my own.

WP40 installed and running off my Reef Angel controller.

What a pump, this thing is awesome, and so easy to hook up to my RA.

I immediately turned off both my MP10 and MP40 and still have plenty of flow.I will definitely pick up a second or a WP25 in order to run anti-sync mode.

The wp10 haven't came out yet but I would say the 2 wp25 should do..there's other people who have a 90gal tank on the wp25 forum that should help you out

I'm toying with the idea of selling my MP40 and picking up two WP25's. I love the super wide flow pattern of the MP40. The WP's seem so direct. Plus I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to be able to use them as is or if I'm going to have to build some sort of dimmer. Ultimately I think I'm going to want my MP40 (or two) but if I switch it out I can free up some cash for the time being.

The WP40 has a wider flow than the WP25

Am I going to be able to tune down two WP40's enough without adding anything additional (like a dimmer)? I have mostly LPS and I want the two pumps to eliminate the dead areas.

There seems to be a grey area on how low these can go.

Hard to say, the speed settings are 50%, 75% and 100%

Even the 50% is a lot of flow, I would recommend a controller or dimmer switch
