Wrasse id

Purchased as a melanarus but the yellow dorsal fin is making it hard for me to id this fish.
Pretty sure it's some kind of haliochores

i can only hope mine turns out like yours if that is indeed what he is. I'll have to try to take better pics but he is very active and fast.

Yup, Coris venustus doesnt have the yellow spot on the dorsal, as this fish does. Most of the H. solorensis I see are a little lighter in body color, but still within the spectrum.

Thats a cool find, I dont see them for sale often.

thanks guys that does appear to be what i have. i can never have enough haliochores i think its my favorite genus of fish
