My McCoskers Flasher Wrasse. Such a beautiful and quirky little fish and rarely exceeds 3"! (Note, not in that tank anymore.)

Mystery Wrasse,Ive never kept any other Wrasse. Not to Hijack your thread but since the posters here seem to have knowledge on wrasses. Can you keep a McCoskers Fairy with a Mystery wrasse? Thanks Guys
No; don't mix Pseudocheilinus wrasses with any other wrasses unless you have a very large system (200+ gallons).

How is the 8 line? Is he aggressive like the 6 line?
Which 8 line?
Pseudocheilinus octotaenia; almost as bad as the sixline.
Parachelinus octotaenia; mostly peaceful, but more aggressive than all the other Paracheilinus.

So many amazing wrasses. My favorites are mystery and leopard.

However to tag on and ask a question with so many experts on this thread, and yes I know all fish jump, but which wrasses tend to jump more than others? Really want to add a fairy wrasse to may rimless but having a feeling it would find the carpet pretty quickly.
Don't even think about it. All wrasses require a tank completely covered with 1/4" clear mesh.

The ardorned wrasse is pretty cool
And rather aggressive.

I have about 40 wrasse on my tank right now they are great fish
My Favorite mid level Fairy Wrasse

Rhomboid
Flame
Scott's fairy

Great bargain
Whipfins

Exquisite
Temmicki

My wish list
Feminus
Earl
Lenardi
And Johnsoni

Very hard to keep choati and almost every tamarin wrasse

Whipfins male can be aggressive on another whipfins but not as bad as mystery or red velvet when its become supermale. It's very cheap but its one of the most color fish I own special when its flashing and great price too. My single supermale whipfins right now still flashes every 10-15 minutes but never bother anyone

Scott's fairy are not aggressive at all one of tne best fairy wrasse IMO specially for the price.

Red velvet or blue sided are too aggressive worst than mystery
Very cheap and very colorful but don't get it unless its your last one to add.

Also I forgot a harem of clown fairy is a great fish for the price ( if kept single it tends to be aggressive )

Wow! I got rid of my whipfin about 3 yrs ago because he attacked every new fish...

My very big and fat mystery bothers no one, and my 4 red velvets (3 males) seem to get along with all other fish ...

Everyone has warned me not to try a Scott's , but now (thanks to you) I will probably get one...

Blue sided does not interest me...

my single clown wrasse is no problem & I've never (previously) considered a mate or 2 for him... But

WTH, there's always room for another wrasse or 3!

I had 3 Scott's fairy
The first one got killed my a giant red margin
The second one lasted 2 years then decided to jump and hit the light fixtures :(
My new one is doing well after I remove the red velvet.

Top of the list is: C. cf. lanceolatus

Maybe someone can get me one someday... (eh hem Mr. Kohen, Mr. Rezendes, et al) :xlbirthday:
