i used to have a mystery wrasse, he was kinda aggressive. most wrasse can mix but there might eventually be problems, also depends on their personalities imo.
most wrasse are a potential threat to inverts too, if they get hungry.
I was going to get a Mystery, but have heard of quite a few of them that turn into total jerks as they get bigger, even taking out CUC and small shrimp....
i have both, if you can get a small mystery wrasse. They will eat your shrimp, mine did. Expensive lesson. You need to remember mystery's are always hungry, always search for food. Also older/ larger they get will possible bother other tank mates.

I won't call out individuals that feel that the mystery wrasse is safe for shrimp... you know who you are, but you are giving bad advice. I love my mystery, but he is a shrimp muncher. No doubt about it.
