looking tosee if anyone has any 175 w DE MH bulbs They have laying aroung prefer 20k's 14K possibly like to try one just thought id throw it out there before i order some.

I thought DE's were only 70, 150 & 250.
And SE is in a few bulbs in 150 in medium bases.
But the common SE is 175, 250, 400, and special order 1000's in moguls.
Just in case the DE and SE are reversed.
DE is an unencased light envelope that has two blades that fit into a fixture that snaps into place and is covered by a removable UV (plain glass) filter.
SE is medium or mogul screw in bulb that is envelope encased in it's own UV shield.

Yes they do there just hard as hell find i could put a 150w in they run the same ballast...

I dunno prob did discontinue knowing my luck i bought the fixture used but the label on it says 175w hqi ...... really sux cause i get home today and the bulb was fired but only half as bright i wish i knew what brand it was cause im getting nice color and growth out of my stonies ........and all my corals
I think i need a new light .... Dannng! and tothink i was gona go get my reefkeeper this weekend......

If none of the numerous Guru's lurking about cannot help?
Call Dan At Salty Critter.
If he can't help call the hellolights folks.
Other idea is to put a lighting help me ID for the mfg of this in the lighting forums and keep bumping it until someone who knows stumbles across it.
(there is an E_bay listing via google search--->175 watt DE bulbs---
for one but at $20, I'd be surprised if it is that good a bulb with reliable spectrum and intensity and longevity)

i found the orgins it a korean unit odyssea the 175w are nothing more than mislabeled 150w hqi bulbs what a scam! good thing that i re wired and basiclly rebuilt the unit cause these things are crap........... but good news is ill have a bulb coming soon ....and i was gonna build a new light setupany how ill just put this one over my frag setup....
