WTB: 54g Oceanic Corner Bowfront Aquarium (or similar)

Ok, so i'm looking to upgrade (yeah, this was predictable, haha.)

So, if anyone knows where I can pick up one of these used or new for a decent price, let me know. I would like it pre-drilled and with a built in overflow in the corner.

I am open to other similar dimension systems (this one is 27.5 x 27.5 x 23".)

I'm patient, no rush, so if you have one and are planning on upgrading, let me know.

What I am not looking to do is have this custom built remotely and shipped across the country for some hefty fee. Must be local and I don't want to pay for custom, but rather a pre-fab.

Thanks:)

Oh my friend Big Bones has a 60 gallon tall (36inches long) aquasystem and stand for sale. not a bow front though

I thought that all of hte Oceanic corner bowfonts had the corner overflows. They can be modified to make them even more efficient than the stock Oceanic MegaFlows (yes, I speak from personal experience :)). I don't know how many 100 gallon corner bowfronts are available on craigslist, but that is what we have and are very happy with it. Of course we are upgrading to an in wall custom tank, gallonage yet to be determined :)

Excellent choice. I started a page on our tank here when it was new, but I haven't updated it in a long time. If you get the same stand we got, I can tell you that your best bet for a sump is an 18G tall, and you can fit a 7G bow front next to that as a topoff. And then you have used up pretty much all the floorspace there is in there! It's a great tank if the only space you have for a tank is in a corner.

Mark, that is a beautiful sleek tank, exactly what I want. Where did you buy it and how much did it cost you for the tank/stand/canopy combo?

Thanks all. I really need to stay a certain size, there is just one small corner portion of my living room that will fit a tank. This will encroach on approximately 1.5" of window space already and it will be perfect.

We got everything (tanks, stand, skimmer, full working setup) from Mermaid, I don't remember what it cost. If I had known what to get I might have been able to do it for a little less on my own, but this is our first salt water tank so I appreciated having some guidance on what to put together, and went with Mermaid over some other local stores because Max was so helpful. They also delivered it and set it all up, and when there was a problem with original sump design (which they custom made from an 18G tall tank) Max made another and replaced it with no fuss. So it was worth the money.

Thanks, Mark. I will give them a call for a quote on the tank/stand/cap, so they actually stocked this, or did they charge you for shipping? I want to pick it up, buy all other parts used, and set it up myself.

I appreciate your help, you have a very nice setup. I might want to get a little more info on your plumbing (return pump, how noisy, etc.) Do you mind if I pm you?

Thanks,
Angela
