WTB: base rock

Anybody have any base rock they want to get rid of? I don't have a lot of cash to part with right now, but I'm trying to do something different with my aquascaping. Large chunks of porous rock will do the trick. Base rock will work perfectly, but there's nothing wrong with liverock obviously. If you have anything like this, let me know via PM. I'm shooting for something like $2-3/lb. Thanks!

Depending on how much you want, I will sell you Live Rock for $3 a pound. Are you coming to the swap?

I won't be making it out for the swap, unfortunately. Ultimately, I'm really just looking for a few (4-6) big chunks.

Are you in Des Moines? 4-6 big chunks can weigh quite a bit depending on size. The stuff I have would probably be in the 50 pound range for big chunks.

I can bring some in to Clive tomorrow if you are in the area.

Yeah I'm in Des Moines. 50 pounds is probably alot bigger than I need. I guess I'm thinking dimensions of around 10 inches max in any direction. I only WISH I had a tank big enough to need 50-pound chunks.

I'm sorry I meant total weight. 10 Inches is pretty big. I won't be in Des Moines on Friday I am going to Davenport. ;0) Let me know if you want some tomorrow or next week. You can pick it up at my office on 86th and Swanson.

My larger chunks as you describe should be around 5-10 pounds I am guessing. I will weigh each one on a digital scale if you are interested. Otherwise I will take it to Davenport if anyone else is interested.
