WTB/Borrow Fish trap

I Could Stop If I Wanted
I am trying the DIY soda bottle but its not working for me, so before I go order a new one, does anyone have a good fish trap I can borrow or buy?

I am looking at the aqua-medic which has good reviews so if you have one or something similar, PM me.

I'll also consider other ideas, like fishing nets? :) I've tried night time and draining the tank but my rock wall makes for a perfect refuge so I need to trap them.

Thanks!!

Sorry to Steal your thunder but I am in the same boat I got a yellow damsel I trying to get rid of. I tried the soda bottle and caught everything but my damsel and my BT trigger kept getting stuck so I had to stop using it. So I am looking for a trap to. I also read the you have to have the trap in there for a week or so for it to be effective. But if anybody else has a trap too I need to get one or maybe borrow it after the OP uses it.

I have a manually operated one if you get down to tampa to pick it up.

My office is right next to the international mall, is that anywhere near you? The trap I was looking at was manual as well so might be the same one. I saw a vid of you trapping your japanese swallowtail angel, is it the same trap? if so that should work.

You had better luck than me. lol I need to trap 4 anthia, a kole yellow eye and hippo tang, and a royal gramma.

The trap I used was simple, just bait it and wait for the fish to swim in. Literally took like 10 minutes to catch my Japanese swallotail. The only issue I had was my coral banded shrimp kept trying to get in so I had to keep closing the door. Anyone who wants to borrow it is welcome and of course if you happen to give me a frag in return that would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I need one that has a door that opens and close the Soda bottle was preventing the trigger from getting out and it would start freaking out but the damm thing would keep getting in there and now My bangaii cardinal got shredded no clue who and how that happened.

I am off hillsborough between marine warehouse and faios.
Yes same trap

The trap. From Installman. Borrowed it yesterday. Worked in less then 10 minutes. Threw in veggie clip and boom coral beauty lol. Could've gotten my orange shoulder too haha

interesting, i caught a wrasse in 2 min with a suction cup breeder box and some formula 1, then caught the second wrasse with a net and some blood worms in it, that took about 10 min but he still went right into it. just a thought.

I ended up buying one and placing it in the tank for a week. I've actually witnessed fish swimming in and out of it. I'll begin actual trapping this weekend. Renting one would have equaled the cost for me, IMO but that a nice convenience offering for most.

The way I see it as long as It is here for me when I need it then everbody wins. And as a bonus I get to meet more fellow reefers.
