XL Show Imperator question

I asked my LFS to order a medium adult imperator but instead he got me XL Show size 10" Imperator for my 150g tank which will soon be 300g end of this year.

I had a 10" Blueline angel that never ate and withered away. A smaller 5" Blueline eats great. Ive never seen any large show size angels eat at the LFS. Ive seen another 10"+ Imperator at my LFS and I never saw it eat. Same goes to a 8" Majestic and a 9" Blueface at another LFS. The medium or small sized ones eats with gusto

Its only the 2nd day so Im hoping for the best but I was wondering if anyone seen these Jumbo size Imperator eat at the wholesalers or is this large size angel just too hard to adapt for captivity. If so I might sell it next week or so.

Last question, the LFS told me this Imperator is from Africa. Can anyone tell? Sorry for the poor pic. Lights were not on

Judging by the size and the dorsal fin (no filament), and the yellow/orange tail, I'd say Indian Ocean/Red Sea so yes, east Africa is a good call.

Nah, he's talking about the streamer on the back top of the fish. They are from 2 different regions. If you get the streamer on it or not shows where it came from.

The pacific ocean P.imperator have streamer.
The indian ocean (incld Red Sea) do not have a streamer.
FME the best quality emperors are:
Red Sea, Kenya and New Caledonia.

I've had a lot of luck feeding my angelfish nori. Go to an asian market and get some sushi nori (make sure there is nothing but seaweed in the ingredients like salt or seasoning).

SECOND IT! I personally have noticed that most like roasted nori than those that are made for specifically fish
