XR15 Par readings

Hi:

Can you please share par readings at various depths for the XR15? I recently bought one and am trying to determine how high I should set it.

I found on the main web-site that the max par is 825, but haven't been able to find anything else on the par at various distances from the light (e.g. 12" below light, 18" inches below light, 24" inches below light).

Thanks!

I sent a message directly to Ecotech two days ago and it wasn't answered.

Could someone from Ecotech please answer this question?

This is all I got out of ecotech -

"Thank you for contacting EcoTech Marine! The Radion achieves its maximum par with our standard TIR lens at the 12k spectrum running 100% intensity. That said, we do not have any other PAR ratings at this time. Please let me know if you have any other questions."

He is referring to the 825 number in this response....

I was hoping someone with a par meter could post some readings as well....specifically with the 120 degree lenses that come installed...i am curious to see how the max par is impacted with the 120 degree lenses.

After running the light for a month, I have a feeling I need to run it much higher than its big brother, due to not only having a single puck, but also due to the wide angle lenses....

btw....you can't tell me ecotech doesn't have par ratings floating around? how much testing has actually been done with this smaller light?

They have them. They likely unacceptable for advertising purposes, so they just keep it a mystery. It's like scotch without a declared age. The numbers may not be commensurate with the price.

Par varies greatly depending on the programming you choose to run. That said, I would recommend picking a schedule and modifying it to your liking. From there, make subtle changes to suit your corals needs.
