xr15 vs xr30

I'm getting a 48x24x16 tank and planning to use two XR15 Pros with the wide angle lens. Would this be the recommended route to go?

Did you end up getting the xr15s? That is what I was planning on doing for a tank that same size (deep blue 80 shallow). Wondered how it was working for you.

I am on the fence about xr15 for my LPS build. Effective tank size is 30L x 18W x 12H. I say effective tank size because of the 35" long tank, 5" is for the AIO filter on the left side.

Hey Alex. My tank is L48"xW24"xH20". I did have 2 xr30 gen 1's on it until my son broke one. Would 2 xr15 gen4 pros give me at least the same if not better coverage than I had? Its either that or try to find a decent priced used xr30. keeping sps and lps. I figured if it was better than what I had I would be good, and If i decided to go heavy sps and needed more light then I could just add a third xr15. What do you think? Or anybody else want to chime in feel free.

I'll be lighting a Nuvo 20 with an xr30w g4 -- hope it's not overkill. Debated for a while and decided I'd rather over provision and save money down the road when I inevitably upgrade.

Salinity,

2 XR15wG4 Pro Radions will provide about the same amount of light as 2 G1 XR30w Radions. With that in mind, you will be in great shape using 2 XR15 over your aquarium.

What about in a Reefer 250?

What about in a Reefer 250?

Looking at a Reefer 250 -- 36L x 20W x 21H

This tank will be mainly softies and LPS. Moderate rock scaping.

Would a single XR30w G4 PRO, or dual XR15w G4 PRO have better coverage in this case? Seems they'd be pretty close to one another...

I'm debating what lighting to get for my new Red Sea Reefer 170 (24.5" L x 20" W x 20" H). Would the XR15wG4 Pro be ideal for an all SPS tank and not have any shadowing? Or should I go with an XR30w G4 Pro?

Need some help I have a Xr15w pro gen3 running over a 20x16x12 tank @ 9" above the water line. I have been running the coral labs ab setting @ 45%. So I borrowed a par meter from a friend and was surprised to see at the sand I didn't even have 100 par dead center under the light. There no obstructions in the way as it just a frag tank. Does this sound right? Everything I've read makes me believe I shouldn't be over 45 - 50% any help would be appreciated
