Yasha goby

I recently purchased a yasha goby with no sail I was thinking it was female but I found out both male and females have the sail. It could be a juvenile but just wondering if anybody has heard of this.

Both females and males have sails for sure. Very hard to tell apart visually. Males will definitely fight each other though.

A missing dorsal ray is usually a case of aggression and it being damaged, if it is not damaged all the way down it should grow back.

Males have a dark spot on the end of each dorsal fin while females do not.
