Yashi-Hashi =(

About 5 weeks ago, I purchased a gorgeous Yashi-Hashi Gobi to pair up with my tiger pistol. After an extended stay in hotel quarantine, I added him to my tank. I put him in Sunday afternoon and he darted behind some rock work. I have yet to see him again.

So, should I be worried? In the QT, he was out in the water column and readily accepted all food offerings. I hope that he is just a hider. Would hate to lose 50 bucks and 5 weeks of quarantine.

I see my yasha hase gobe, about twice a week if I'm lucky.
They're fairly cryptic in a tank with lots of LR.
I wouldn't be too worried.

Yes they are hiders. I've gone 2 weeks without seeing mine.

Lucky for me he has finally taken up residence toward the front of the tank but rarely moves from his burrow more than 3".

Beautiful fish but very timid.
