yellow head eel

I just got my yellow head eel 3 days ago. he is fine eating and swimming. I have 3 starter fish ( blue Damsels ). The Damsel
are hiting the eel whit the tails and the eel dosnt do anything.
how can i get the eel to eat the bastards. Damsel think that thay own the tank.

He'll take them out eventually, just give him time.

The damsels probably do own the tank. They are fast and many accounts of damsels say that once-for-ounce they are meanest fish in the industry. That isn't to say the eel won't catch one or more of them, but I avoided using damsels in my tank for a reason.

My damsels did the same thing to my eels and trigger when they got added. The Niger trigger is around 4 inches or so and the damsel was not letting him in his little cave. I also have 2 yellow tail damsels and one of them will constantly go after my hand and arm when i am over in his area cleaning and doing maintance.

It's kind of like small birds that dive bomb the hawk. Eventually the tables will be turned and the damsels will be dinner
