I've had a yellow headed jawfish for about 5 days in a 90 gal. tank with 5 chromis. My jaw fish refuses to eat, i've tried 3 different types of food for him (Flakes and Pellets). Today he started to swim out of his hole and swim back and forth across the tank. Please help!
Target feed his hole. Its the only way I can get mine to eat. I don't have chromis either. He's got to be scared to death of them. Mine won't come out of his hole for anything.
I would try frozen brine or mysis. As soon as they hit the water my Jawfish is out and eating. He seems to be the most efficient predator in my tank ie; he gets more than anyone else. If he won't eat frozen try live Brine. Most marines can't resist the live Brine.
