Yellow Pyramid Butterfly, Reef Safe ?

Yes, they're planktivores. That's not to say that they won't try sampling other things if they're hungry enough. But if you keep them well fed (which is easy to do, they'll readily take pellets, flakes, & frozen foods) you should be fine. They're great fish.

Looks like Skip is a nyaquatic shopper? They can be reef safe....but it is not a certainty. I have personally observed these fish nipping corals in the wild at one of my favorite collection spots when I lived on Okinawa......and I can only assume they should have been pretty well fed in the ocean? So, not all are reef safe. This could be said of any butterflyfish I'm sure. It is just one that some have had little issues with. They are nice looking and a great price.....if they arrive like billed. I've not had good luck in that area from that source.

Good guess Patrick !! I live abut an hour or so away, so I'm going to make the trip .. If they look good and are eating, I'll take the plunge..thanks.
