Yellow striped maroon w/ reg maroon?

Would/could these 2 eventually pair up or will I need to get another yellow striped maroon clown. I'm not particularly interested in breeding to raise fry, more just for eggs and the health of the tank. Any input appreciated and please no flaming....even 7 years into the hobby I still have lots to learn and I'm not embassed to ask! Thanks, Nancy

I would say there is a chance it could happen both being maroon just with different color variation.

Since it's a just a color variation, and not a difference in species, they can pair up.

Well, not really:twitch:.The yellow (or golden) striped maroon.is an endemism of the island of Sumatra, which shows some differences with the normal white striped.Bands, beside being yellow, are much wider, and often misbarred, which is unusual for WC clowns. They also show a mild temperament and pairing them is much easier than with the WSM.
The name Premnas epigramma has been proposed though it has not been widely accepted for this morph.
But as for Nancy´s question, yes, they could mate without any issues.
