Yellow Tang Issue

All,
Yesterday my Yellow tang developed brown patches on both sides.
All other fish and corals are doing well. 75 gallon tank with 30 gallon sump.
Water parameters look to be good. He is still eating green seaweed and swimming fine.

I unfortunately, do not have a quarantine tank.
Do you think he can survive this or do I need to get him out?
It will be hard to get him out due to his speed and all my rockwork and corals.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

I have updated a new photo of the yellow tang today.
It is a lot less brown today and more white.

Thoughts?

Looks like some type of skin infection. The rock could be making it worse. I would get a quarantine and stuck him in it with a hob so he won't scrape rocks. That's half the battle sometimes is keeping the fish from irritating the area more. A trap would also be helpful too. One fish will literally pay for the trap or your lfs might lend one out. Put some Zoe and selcon in his food and keep an eye on him. Should be fine.

Is the fish flashing against the rocks? It does look like some kind of infection - possibly bacterial. You will need to treat this fish in a dedicated hospital tank. I would recommend a combination of nitrofurazone (Furan-2) and kanamycin (Kanaplex) for 7 days. Do not dose these antibiotics into your display tank.
