Yellow Tang not looking so good...thoughts

I picked up a yellow tang over the weekend and he's been quite shy and I haven't seen him eat. Just now I noticed some lite reddish blotches on him. No ones picking on him. Any thoughts?

Sometimes that is a result of poor water quality. Ammonia, nitrates and specific gravity look good. What is the pH? If the pH is at least 8.0 to 8.6, we can rule out water quality and move on to the other cause of red blotches, infection. In the later case, treatment with either Nitrofuran or Kanamycin in a QT will do the trick.
