Yellow tang not worth the trouble

I have a yellow tang in my 120. He's a beautiful fish and I've had him for 4 years. My problem is that I can't add any new fish. He attacks them and most I have to move out or he kills. I'm battling a huge aptasia problem so I added a file fish and he lasted about 2 days before the tang finally killed him. I'm really thinking about getting the tang out so I can try some new fish and maybe a copperband for the aptasia. Anyone else ever had similar issues?

Zebrasoma tangs are notorious for becoming aggressive to new tank mates after they settle into the tank. You could rearrange rock work before trying to add something new or put mirrors on the outside of the tank to help with the aggression

The worst mine has ever done was swat fish with its tail when they go near his cave....he spends more time fighting with his own reflection in the glass then anything....

DMorty knows what's up. I would try the mirror trick. I had to do that with my tangs when adding other fishes, and it's worked out well so far. Lights out, and mirror. I also now have an acclimation box for new fishes too, to give them time to adjust (Costco animal cracker plastic container, drilled with holes - I would recommend using a soldering iron and burning the holes next time instead of drilling and leaving rough edges everywhere).

How large is the tang? 120 is a push for a larger yellow and can exacerbate aggression issues.
