yellow tang problems

OK i was out for about 2 days. when i came back he looked fine. now today (i came back yesterday) his gills are opening and closing very quickly. it also looks like he is very skinny. i dont understand he was fine yesterday. i keep up on feeding him. all other fish are acting normal. im not here for the tang police im here for a treatment or at least find out whats going on

Rapid breathing could be caused by a lot of things: parasites in the gills (ich, velvet, or flukes), low dissolved oxygen, or stress.

so what should i do then?? should i just keep feeding regularly and hope for the best? i dont have a quaratine tank unfortuneatly. i was going to get one but i invested in a bigger aquarium instead.

all the water perimeters are normal and i dont see anything that could have stressed him...i have had him in the tank for almost a year now so he is very used to everything
