yellow tang & SPS...anyone else?

My YT seems to have taken a liking to the tip of my SPS. Hes been nipping on them for a while now...he like zoas/palys too! :uzi::headwally:

Anyone else have this experience?

Time to get rid of him or feed him more.

My purple tangs will nip at everything when grazing, I do not think it is because they are eating the SPS though (they don't damage the tips). If I have nori in the tank, they do it less. Because of this, frags grow a lot slower then colonies, I think the colonies can take some polyps being closed better.

hippo was doing it for me. My Yellow tang is a model tank mate.. sadly though way to big at this point for my current tank due to changes in my aquascaping.

My hippo did some damage for a minute and then quit picking all together. Id say feed more and wait it out. Ive also seen a juvi purple eat zoas.
