Yellow tang

My yellow tang seems to be doing great but can anyone explain to me why his face is white

Can you explain what you mean a little more? Or post a picture? Is it spotted white? Does it looked rubbed down? Or is it just losing its yellow pigment and the skin just looks white?

The fish looks like it's yellow pigment from gills to almost mouth is gone it is all white not spotty sorry I couldn't post picture

Sounds like Lateral Line Disease. Can be caused by not feeding enough algae based diet. Try feeding him more algae and maybe even soak it in some garlic to get his immune system up. Also if you run carbon, stop running that for a while.

+1 feed a better variety and quality of food. The garlic thing is up to you, but prolonged use of garlic causes liver problems in fish. It is helpful in getting picky eaters to eat on occasion
