Yellow Zoas?

Has anyone ever seen these before? I picked them up from a local reefer yesterday. I have never seen them so bright yellow before. I am assuming they are zoanthids.

Yes, they are very cool. I know the current rage is with multiple colors, but these are so yellow they really stand out.

I've seen those before. They look better with the shorter skirts than longer. ( NO PUN INTENDED )

They're not the same as your typical yellow buttom polyps. Don't know about their light requirements though ( Bright or shaded ).

When my yellow polyps multiply and the new ones are small, they look identical to those. Unfortunately, they don't stay that way as they grow.

these definitely do not turn into the standard yellow polyps. They keep looking like those (i'm picking up a frag in about 10 minutes from the same person dbartkow got his from). I'll see if i can make a picture as well :)

Really curious about what they are, and if anyone has seen them before as well.

they're not dyed?
That was my initial thought. I can't say as I've ever seen a zoanthid where the stalk wasn't a dirty brownish-gray or something similar (i.e. not the same color as the other parts). It'll be interesting to see if the color lasts. A series of grow-out photos of these would be most appreciated!

I agree, these are not the standard yellow polyps. This is definitely different.

No, they are not dyed. How would you even do that?

I'll definitely keep you posted on their growth. Although, the original colony these were fragged from look identical.

I have seen those once, and only once. Very nice find! Ever since I saw them (4 years ago) I have had my eye out for those ever since. Keep them alive!!!!

This thread made me go back and dig up the old pic of the ones I seen. Guess I havnt seen them before. These are a bit different-

Very cool - yellow is such a tricky color though when it comes to zoanthids. Most often, they turn green or something close to it.
